Dear visitor,
Welcome to my website.
Articles and short pieces on subjects I am involved in appear here on a regular basis, in particular climate change, classical music and Jungian depth psychology. As a member of the Working Group on Climate Change of the World Council of Churches, I write reports and blogs on various conferences, especially the annual climate negotiations of the United Nations. Reports can be found here. During COP 28, COP 29 and COP 30 I wrote a daily blog.
For a few years now I have been connecting insights from depth psychology with the climate crisis: what caused it, and why is it taking so long for humanity to respond adequately? What does populism have to do with it? A first article was published in The Ecumenical Review in early 2019. The second is a contribution to the interesting book Contemporary Ecotheology, Climate Justice and Environmental Stewardship in World Religions (2021), which can be downloaded for free.
Other blogs and interviews (in Dutch) can be found here.
At the moment I am working on a book about 25 years of climate negotiations: 2000-2025.
Enjoy reading my site!
Marijke
